Olympic Tri: 1.5K Swim - 40K Bike - 10K Run
This year we have partnered with the Wauconda Sprint Triathlon.
If you're unsure of competing an Olympic distance course, the Wauconda Sprint Triathlon is the perfect opportunity for you to prepare! Both events will be held on the same course - just two weeks apart! Completing the Wauconda Sprint Triathlon on Sunday, July 27th is the perfect warm-up for the Bangs Lake Olympic course!

Course Description
Swim: The swim will be in beautiful, clear Bangs Lake with expected water temperatures to be between 74 and 78 degrees. If the temperature is 84 degrees or greater, wet suits will not be allowed. Lifeguards and other water patrol personnel will be on hand to ensure a safe swim for the participants.

Bike: The two loop bike course is challenging and hilly. Check it out here.
The entire bike course is open to regular road traffic. Please be aware of your surroundings and be careful. Always use caution and remain to the right hand side of the road.

Note:IMPORTANT USAT BIKE REQUIREMENTS
All handlebar ends must be SOLIDLY plugged during the race. Tape alone is insufficient.
You will be DISQUALIFIED from the race if your bar ends are not SOLIDLY plugged! |

Run: The course is two loops.

Transition Area : Only participants are allowed in the transition area. Only one bike per rider is allowed in the transition area. The transition area will open at 5:00am.
Bikes must be mounted and dismounted outside the transition area.
ANSI approved biek helmets must be worn and secured inside the transition area. Participants initially entering the transition area will be required to show their helmet prior to entering. No helmet - no Racing!
